This is a recording of michigan avenue in chicago from an interior perspective made from the 24th floor facing west. The microphones were spaced apart and placed very close to the window. Interior ventilation/air conditioning rumble is audible. This could be a useful sound for a downtown city office background. Time of recording was 3:05pm. My bathroom fan is humming while operating. As you might hear, the fan is full of dust and dirt, so it does this "unround" noisy humming. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. A wonderful typical mid-summer soundscape of cicadas, and some katydids recorded on the edge of a small town in illinois. Towards the end of the recording you will hear a very cool doppler-effect as the truck passes from right to left. Recorded about 8:00 at night with my zoom h4-n recorder using it's internal microphones. I had the volume level set fairly high -- 80 -- so you will probably also hear the constant hum of the various central air conditioning units. .

Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. Checked-in to a hotel in raleigh, north carolina with my wife to catch a flight early the next morning out of rdu. Stereo recording of the interior of an ice cream parlor in the historic center of dubrovnik / croatia. It is early afternoon in high summer. The sales crew are a merry lot, bantering loudly with the tourists of different nations that are absolutely cramming the place. Lots of multinational voices can be heard, men, women and children talking loudly and all at once. Under that is the intense hum of a cooling system working itself to death!the ice cream was good too. I can recommend the peanut flavor. Recorded with a zoom h2, mics set to 90° dispersion.

Ambient sound akin to the bridge of a starship. Muted background hum with an overtone of air conditioning ducts. Pseudo-random high pitched blips occupy the soundstage. Could be used as an ambient sound loop for hi-tech / science fiction interiors such as a laboratory, a control room, or the bridge of a spacecraft. Created with two instances of flstudio 3x osc.
